2u rack case

I'm looking for a 2u rack case to fit my Peavey Tour 450 head.

Dimensions (HxWxD): 3.875" (98.42 mm) x 19" (482.6 mm) x 13" (330 mm).

Any ideas?

Any computer place should be able to order one in if they dont have it in stock. Look in you local yellow pages for network, cable IT companies and give them a call, they may have one that is used you can pick up.

Warwick 2U shallow flight case:
Inside unit depth 350mm to take 2U products that do not require as much depth inside the flightcase as normal rack items.
Internal measurements are 485mm width by 105mm height by 350mm depth front to back.

Warwick 2u flight case:
Internal measurements are 485mm front width by 105mm height by 450mm depth front to back.

Would I best be going for the shallow case or standard case?

No they won't. I'm in Britain and refuse to import from the States due to the massive delivery cost and then custom duties added on.

I am obviously ignorant to some fact here, but why can't you just order one from musicians friend or direct from skb... or even a local music store?

1. Musicians friend - American, read post before.
2. The cheapest SKB that will fit my head is £90 - $177; I'm not paying that for a case.
3. No. Why should I have to go to my music shop to order a case? Surely there must be a case that fits my head that I can order over the internet? I don't see anything wrong with those Warwick cases above.

This looks similar to the Warwick one. There must be others out there too.

Sorry but what is wrong with the Warwick one ? Look on Thomman for Thon cases. If you want a quality case then you cant be picky about the price.

Have you tried Spider Engineering? I'm looking at a flight case rack from there and it's about £80. If you want the quality, you'll have to pay it, or just buy the Warwick rack...

nothing to add except that if your head will actually *fit*, the shallow "effects" cases are sweet.

i have a 4U shallow gator case housing my GK 700RB and a compressor. with the lids off, it is only about 12" deep, which makes it (1) easy to put on virtually any cabinet without hanging way off either side, (2) look a lot better (see reason one), and (3) easier to carry around or fit in a small hole in the band trailer.

...and most of them are not deep enough to mount my head or have crap locks that take ages to get on and off.

Is there anything wrong with the Warwick case above? I'm looking at the shallow version and that should be suitable for storing my head in?

My head, (SVT 6 Pro), wouldn't fit a shallow case. Had to get a RoadRunner case that's about 19" deep. When I take the back cover off, the amp sticks out the back. Just make sure it's deep enough BEFORE you buy it. I bought an SKB first, it was way too shallow.

My head is 330mm so there were be a 20mm gap at the back so I thought it would fit fine right?

I would go with the Shallow Warwick 100% Its a nice fit and not too expensive.
