Which manufacturer's single-cab solution would you choose for a vintage bluesy-rock group (think The Black Keys) played with two guitarists and a drummer to get a classic Motown-type sound in front of ~100 people, and why? (Thanks to craig.p for the question format!)
Here's a little background:
I currently play on an Acoustic B100 combo (100w, 15"), and I love the sound. However, I am in need of a larger amp. So, I am planning on getting the Acoustic B200h (200w head). This leaves me without a cabinet.
My budget is less than $500.
I am looking at the Acoustic B115 and the Acoustic B410 cabs, but I will be unable to get to any music stores for quite some time (university keeps me busy!) that carry anything other than 2x10s and a few practice amps
so i cannot really compare the 15s and 410s side by side. I have never played a 410.
I am considering rewiring the 15 from my combo to hook it up to the head as an additional cab if I get another 15 (I have read 410+15 doesnt work to well) to help with volume, otherwise I will be selling the whole combo.
P.S. What are the tonal differences between 15s and 410s?
