$300 Bass Rig....

...or why I like Talkbass
So last fall , I wrecked my full size van of 1.4 million miles
My other vehicle is a smaller conversion van ,in between a full size and a mini van
So the 8x10 Ampeg ,2x15 Marshall (see avatar) and various 6x10's are out of the picture for awhile

So while I was researching various 2x10's and stuff through members' opinions here, word got out in my local musician community that I was lookin for smaller bass cabs
Well, I was on a gig with a well respected bassist around here who had a thrashed Hartke 4x10 that he was trying to get rid of .
He called me up and said come get it . It was one of the heavy duty cabs ,not the Transporter. The speakers were all wasted . Apparently it had been in the trailer when his band's gear got stolen ...but was later recovered ,then sat out in the shed in the back a few years ...humid Louisiana

So I got it n jumped in. A elbow grease and 4 x200w 10's that I got from Seismic Audio 13 years ago , a two for $30 deal

Tight, I put the 135 thru it in the kitchen ...It rattled everything pretty good so I knew it was OK

Meanwhile , I had a road trip .I have the habit of checking out Craigslist where ever the road takes me . So I spy this Marshall IBS 200 on Craigs for 80 bucks
Did a little searchin on Talkbass and decided it was worth a gamble .....so I got it

Next thing ,I spot a BK Butler Blue Tube ....again back to the TB archives. Sounded like a winner ,so I got it
Found a cheap Anvil rack case a few days later
Now I got a pretty cool little van rig

Im thinkin about some 10" Neos next
Ive had no so great experience with Emi Basslite neos in a 2x12
Any suggestions on the neos ?
