300 watt or so SS amp recommendations?

looking for some recommendations on a smallish, 300 watt or so good overall SS amp. Mostly for light use, practice and small rock clubs. I've recorded with a vintage Acoustic 360 and thought that sound was ideal, but those things are rare and big. I've owned an SVT before and loved it, but looking for something simpler/smaller. Really like the idea of the Ampeg MicoVR. I currently have a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 paired with either a 210 or 410 depending. Anyone raving about something in this wattage?

I own 2... The Eden WTX-264, which is my go-to... and the Ashdown PiBass.

In the used market, they're inexpensive enough to invest in without braking the bank!

PF350 sounds like the Micro VR but has 350w and a little bit more smackdown than the Micro VR.

I love my Micro-VR (turn off the #$%^&*@ limiter) and my Aguilar TH-350.

If you had said that you currently owned something else, a bunch of people would've suggested getting a GB Shuttle paired with either a 2x10 or 4x10. You're good to go: Spend your 500 bucks on something else.

thanks everyone, I'll check those out. really looking for a backup to the Shuttle. I usually use a Tech 21 bass driver and the GB sounds good, just looking for something different to add.

You might like the sound and tonal flexibility of either Fender's Rumble 200 or 500 heads. Combos too. Certainly worth an audition.

Or swr amplite. They kill. Still on eBay from time to time.
Or get one of the newer acoustic heads if you like that tone. I know they did a 300 for a while now they just do a 500 and 800

Or bump up to the 6.2. I like it better than the 6.0 because they seemed to have tightened up the lower end a bit. The 6.0 had a wider sounding low end for me. If that's not a big deal, then, yes, I would stick with it.

What Jimmy said. For under $500 you can even get a PF500 for more headroom.

Also, you could just grab a TH pedal or VTBass and run them through the GB effects loop. This is what I did for awhile, before I got the TH500 and PF800. Great option, and this allows you to get Aggy and Ampeg tone for that price.
