Go here and print out a template:

Once you have printed it out, cut it out and taped it together, measure from the nut (or zero fret) to the 12th fret. For 35" scale, it should measure 17.5".

I decided to man up and make a 35" scale.

Does anyone know how far the nut is from the 3, 5th, 7, 9, 12, 15, 17, 19, 21, and 24th fret?

I don't care as much for the Stew-Mac fret calculator. I find that the Fret-Find site prints out a nice template for fret slotting, and also includes the measurements from both the nut and the bridge for each fret.
