37 year old bass, dusted off

I have a 1985 Gibson Explorer bass.
I stopped playing this bass in 1996.
The bass rested on a guitar stand for 11 years.
Then the bass hung up on a wall for the next 15 years with the strings loosened.
To my surprise the neck is still straight.
I woke up this morning and finally had an urge to play this Gibson bass after 26 years.
26 year old stainless steel Rotosound bass strings still on it.
Here is the Gibson bass recorded on the cell phone sitting on top of my amplifier:
1-Both pickups and tone dimed.
2-Bridge pickup only.
3-Neck pickup only.

Let's see if the strings will last another 26 years…..

Great observation and thank you. Yes, I have a Strymon Big Sky Reverb, MXR compressor and the MXR carbon copy analog delay.

It sounds good. After hearing it I decided to try my Boss RV-3 digital delay/reverb that I have for guitar on my bass to add some fullness/depth to the sound of the jazzy guitar/bass duo I play in.

I have to laugh at that comment because I'm always in my robe when I'm playing my bass. I was tempted to put some clothes on but I said to myself ah forget who cares, LOL. Thank you

That's great that you are repurposing your petals for bass. That is basically what I did. They were just collecting dust except for that strymon big sky Reverb. The reverb was just purchased recently.
Many people are opposed to using Reverb. But I really love it. Reverb sounds great to me for bass.
