I think it will be nice. When that video was originally posted, I decided to put my octave search on hold. I got a POG2 but would rather have something better and smaller. I really don't use that thing enough. This would be just perfect.
I'm guessing it's going to be more like a Mutron Octave Divider. Only because I built one of the BYOC clones, so I'd have a really hard choice over whether to buy one or not

That was brought up here before. am interested in that clone as well but, between not having time and not being a very patient soldering person, I think the 3Leaf-level craftsmanship would be worth it. My Enabler is built like a tank and Spencer humoured my tech support questions late one evening with lightning speed. Hard to beat that.
I decided to not put it on hold but to make a list of possible candidates and not buy yet until this comes out when I first heard of it being in the works quite some time ago.
Having said that...two won't hurt either and I have liked the cubic for long time too...we'll see.
(...and I am tempted to have one custom built with just two pots; one for volume and one for balance between natural and -1 as I like things simple. This in mind...three wo't hurt much more than two will, it just may take a little longer to happen)
Yeah, I may have a line on one. I have not given up on those yet. I just kind o put a hold on getting a more traditional one like an OC-2.
I have a little electronics background (enough to build the kits with no problem) and enjoy doing it, plus my wife likes to paint the boxes, so it's fun for the whole family! On a practical note, I've built about 10 kits, and the octave divider is the only one that's actually on my board. Tracks well down to G and sounds good too. It's a larger footprint though...i could do without the octave only button and put it in a smaller box. Anyway......looking forward to the 3Leaf, regardless of release date!

The octaver is going to be called the "Octabvre" and should be out in October. It's sort of a mashup of the OC-2 and the Mutron octaver which are my 2 favorites. I got really delayed finishing up the final Darkglass builds which is why it isn't out already and why I've been an idiot when it comes to keeping up with emails.
No worries, you're a busy man considering the massive move you're going through. Any news on the Rusty?

I'm a slight bit afraid of the Octaver. Got a Subterranea a couple months ago, but could never really part with my OC-2 (since it's somehow a lot cleaner). I can't justify having another Octaver, but I'm really really curious about this one.
Let me know if you get the Octabvre and decide to part with the Sub. I might be interested... Can think of applications for both in my current lineup.
Curiosity question Spencer... will your octaver have better tracking than the OC2, or is the glitchiness something you're shooting to recreate? I've tried the OC2 twice now and just couldn't jive with it because of the tracking.

The Sub is definitely staying since the synth-voices are already pretty much indispensable for some songs we play. What's more: I waited reaallly long for it to be built and shipped to Germany where I had to pick it up at the customs-office in the middle of nowhere for additional money.
