The 3Leaf octabvres in any configuration (Mk. I-III or mini) are WELL worth the $300 asking price on drop days. Having worked with a TON of the octaver options over the years, the 3Leaf models have always won out and are the ones I still have today. How they sound and work for me makes them worth the patience and price it took to get them. TO ME. As always, YMMV and I got two of them directly at the reasonable retail, and two through trade and fair market. I don’t think any of them are worth the $600+++ prices, but I think those prices are going away, especially with the new drop format.
The shorter version, to me a $300 3Leaf IS worth $XX dollars more than the others out there. They will get you there as well, but they don’t track with my playing as well, and this are not worth it TO ME. Also, this is all assuming you are after the OC-2 or Mutron toned octaves. If you prefer Aguilar or Ampeg, et. al. the 3Leaf isn’t going to be your thing at any price.
Also, they can be acquired through trade here on TB if you are patient.
