3Leaf Audio Octabvre MK III

The 3Leaf octabvres in any configuration (Mk. I-III or mini) are WELL worth the $300 asking price on drop days. Having worked with a TON of the octaver options over the years, the 3Leaf models have always won out and are the ones I still have today. How they sound and work for me makes them worth the patience and price it took to get them. TO ME. As always, YMMV and I got two of them directly at the reasonable retail, and two through trade and fair market. I don’t think any of them are worth the $600+++ prices, but I think those prices are going away, especially with the new drop format.

The shorter version, to me a $300 3Leaf IS worth $XX dollars more than the others out there. They will get you there as well, but they don’t track with my playing as well, and this are not worth it TO ME. Also, this is all assuming you are after the OC-2 or Mutron toned octaves. If you prefer Aguilar or Ampeg, et. al. the 3Leaf isn’t going to be your thing at any price.

Also, they can be acquired through trade here on TB if you are patient.

Spencer promised a new case since mine was one with all the lettering flaking off. I didn't even ask for one, but just mentioned it to him, and he said he would send me a new case. That was in October. I've been emailing him once a month since then and now doesn't even reply. Wouldn't have been happy if didn't he say he was gonna send a new one.

I reached out to Spencer when my lettering started flaking off as well. He told me the same thing. Has anyone with the issue actually gotten a new face plate that he promised?? It's been a year now of me emailing every couple of months. Just checking.

I received it. He was actually nice about it. I offered to send the old one back, but he said it was fine. Maybe because i live in japan. This was a few years ago.

Spencer wrote me that he was having a run of faceplates made at the end of November 2022, but that's the last I heard from him. I'd love to get a new faceplate for my Octabvre.

They are selling for $700 in 2024. Crazy world!
I think those days might be behind us now that Spencer back up in production mode (at least for the time being). Actual sales seem to be around $500, and sometimes even less than that—at least in US. Doom2 also has come down in price in the used market thanks to the 2024 drops.

Just got my 3.33 in the mail, and it's awesome. I am picky as hell about Octave tones, but this one just does it for me. Really digging all the knobs at around noon. It's such a cool biting sound. Plus being able to switch to sub with a footpress makes it almost feel like 2 different pedals.
