4 Pole Speakon into 2 Pole Amp?

I have a GK Neo 410 cabinet that came with a GK 4 pole speakon cable for use with a GK amp in bi-amp mode. The head I am currently using with this cabinet is a Traynor SB500H which only has 2 pole speakon connections, no 1/4 inch speaker connection. I tried the GK 4 pole cable between the head and cabinet and it fits and works fine, is there any issue with continuing to use it? Logic tells me that the +2 -2 poles aren't connected to anything and therefore won't cause any problems, but I'd like to be sure.
