4 STRING NECK ON 5 STRING BODY. IS IT POSSIBLE?

I have a Fender MIM 5 string that has a neck that is ready to be replaced. I really dont play 5 string anymore and would be cool to maybe throw a 4 string neck on it. I might be just dreaming but is this possible and where to get the neck?

I would think the neck pocket would be too wide to accept a 4 string neck.
There would be way too much excess space there. There will also be bridge issues too

neck pocket will be too wide. Pluss you'd have to change the bridge, causing you to redrill the body,and new pickups which will be too small.

Of course it's possible to put a 4 neck on a 5 body. Not possible to "just throw one on" if you want to play it though. Probably cost you twice what a new bass would before you're done. If your neck isn't broken, you could try stringing it EADGC, be more like playing a 4 without the B in the way, even if you never use the high C.

serious bow. Tried to adjust neck and truss is too deep and stripped out.

I am really starting to feel like this is the route to go.
