Forgive my ignorance, but why is a 35" scale preferable? The Carvin SB5000 has a 34" neck, same as their SB4000.
A common opinion seems to be that longer scale lengths make for a better sounding low B string. One that I also share, the difference between 34" and 35" is not much but If you intend to use it primarily in BEAD tuning I also recomend the longest scale you can get. My Dingwall has a 37" scale B string and it sounds fabulous.
