40 and back on bass

Hello ,

I’m from France, near Bordeaux.
I’m 40 and back on Bass after 20 years without playing…

I love my middle age Crisis , doing music keeps me from buying a sport car ;-) … but there’s lot of stuff to buy too !
I’m very happy with my Jazzbass deluxe US 2003 active, and I’m trying to figure out what to put on my tiny PedalBoard …

For now , it’s just an MXR compressor , Zoom MS-60B+ (without midi footswitch … sadly ) , big muff , deamonfx X, EBS micro bass.

I found lot of very useful information here, now it’s the time to participate a little.

Thank you all for the time you spent building this awesome community.

Welcome back. What you need is directly related to what music you what to play, performance aspirations, and where and who you will be playing with.

Hi there. If looking to add to your pedals, MXR mini vintage bass octave pedal has been a surprising treat for my new rig. Heard Janek Gwizdala playing with one and it sure does a thing.
Welcome to the 40's and over club! Was as strong as i've ever been in my life in my 40's. Don't let that number get to you.

Thanks, I already have an Octaver but way less fancy ( a sonicake clone of OC2 I thinks … direct from china ;-) )

I’m still in research for a cool and cheap OD to color and dirty my sound … I’m not very found of the drive of the EBS Microbass . Following some advices in a thread here I bought a used Sparkle with four buttons.
hope it will does The job!

PS: thanks you all for your the welcome
