4003AC. OK.

Never heard of this dude, or his bands. From what I’ve seen here, he seems more like a guitarist playing a bass. Regardless, I still don’t hear/see the connection with weed beyond the run of 420. Certainly not the Ric for me, but I’m also not the demographic for this bass either. I wish they would just buckle and make an import budget line, that’d turn more heads (and also possibly turn up more noses.)

I love my Ric basses and I keep wishing that they would give me a real reason to buy a new one. And they give us this?

I HATE the inlays and I hate the control knobs (but at least that's easily fixable). I'm certain that all those pickup shields help minimize noise, but there isn't much space left to actually play this bass.

I bet the bridge helps it sound better (but I've already got a Hipshot on my '79).

The bottom line: if Ric TRIED to come up with a weird bass, they could hardly have done better.

Come on Rickenbacker - - get serious and create a new bass that I'd like to own.

Great, now there is even less space in which to pluck strings.

Not if you’re Al Cisneros. Al plucks right up at the neck, which is presumably why there are no pickups there, but there is a thumbrest. Plenty of room. And since this is Al’s signature bass, it works if you’re him (or if you play like him).

Maybe you should petition Rick to build a StringThrough Signature Model?

I hope you realize I was joking
