410s vs 115?

I've got an ashdown c210 mag 300 amp an am looking to buy a cab for it. but can't decide if i should get the 410 cab or the 115. i live in a small town so there aren't some i can just try out. what is your opinion?

Get the 4x10. 4 ten inch speakers have more surface area than 1 fifteen incher and move more air.

A 4x10 and a 1x15 is a nice combination that a lot of people use.

Did you try the "search" function? There is a ton of info on here compairing these basic configurations.

Without knowing what type of tone you want or what features are important to you, etc. it's hard to make a suggestion that isn't unsupported opinion.

People argue about which is better all the time, but it's really up to you. If at all possible, try to find a few you can try out just to get a general idea of the sound difference.

A 4x10 will move more air and give a tighter, punchier sound. If you want a fatter, subbier wooly sound, then go for the 1x15. The 1x15 will be lighter in weight, and because you already have a 2x10, will fill out the lower end of the sound spectrum. All depends what sound you're after!

A single 15" driver has about the same area as 3-10" speakers and weighs about the same as 2-10". A well designed 15" (ie in proper box and with a good mid driver) will be just as "punchy" as a 4-10", probably be just as loud and the cabinet size is usually much easier to transport.
