I have a friend... His name is Travis. Travis is 36 years old... Travis did A LOT of drugs in High School and the Air Force.

Needless to say, Travis is a little bit out there... But a cool cat and great bassist to boot.

He has always had this fascination with the number 47... And Travis being Travis, I never thought anything of it.

Until I google image searched "47" and most of the pictures were of the space program, maps, gov't insignias, etc...

Then I did a web search, and found http://www.47.net/ which is a site dedicated to the number 47.

Pancho Villa was killed by 47 bullets.

Both Pomona and Yale are off of an Exit 47.

The Pythagorean Theorem is Proposition 47 of Euclid's Elements.


The list goes on and one. One guy even proved, supposedly, that everything is equal to 47.

I now bring the debate to TB... Seeing as we are clearly the most qualified people to tackle this subject... Or any subject for that matter.

I think it's just one of those things, I knew a guy who OD'd on Acid. He was dealing started tripping and forgot how much he took and started eating them like M&M's. He never came down.
He was a big guy, used to run around the neighborhood with nothing on but an Army Helmet knocking on all the doors in the middle of the night to "check on the ladies because the VC were comming over the wire". You'd tell him yes they were OK and he'd go on his way.
It could be worse.

Yikes! That's pretty risky. From what I understand, the AF does random drug tests, and has a zero tolerance policy if they find anything. They're downsizing, and will not hesitate to throw you out. (According to my roomate, who is on an AFROTC scholorship.)
