GAS aggravated by using a backline

I don't know about you, but I've had a history of using someone else's rig, thinking "Wow! That sounds great!" and then becoming obsessed with owning the same type of thing. I've acquired stuff for that reason over the years.
It could just be getting a fresh perspective.
Tomorrow night, I'll have such a gig, and I've already started warning myself.
But who knows? Maybe the other guy's rig will suck!
