4U rolling amp rack?

Hey everyone,

I put this in the amp forum because it seemed to fit best…

Can anyone recommend a good 4U rolling rack? I've tried the SKB but wasn't happy with the handle and caster system. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I know this doesn't directly address your question but....

I just wouldn't be able to use a rolling rack. Due to the size, I don't think you will find one with handles and casters that you will be happy with. Plus they are heavier (and bigger) than a regular rack.

I would suggest one of these.

That way, you would essentially have a rolling rack, plus a rolling cab (depending on the size of your cabs) a rolling guitar case and gig bag.

I use one of these for big gigs, and one of the above for smaller gigs. Both are collapsible and easy to store.

I hope this helps.

Most of my amplification equipment resides in SKB 4U cases. I see no point in adding casters to these cases as they are easily picked up.

To move a few of them at one time I use a movers dolly. I make my own from 3/4" ply. large wheel casters and some seat belt webbing for pulling.
