5 Position Switch - Wiring question

I'm putting together a new Jazz bass and I'm looking to do something a little different with the wiring. I've picked up the switch below:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

And I'm interested in wiring the bass Volume -> Switch -> Tone. The positions I'm looking to do are something along the lines of: 1.Neck 2.Bridge 3. Both Series 4. BothTogether 5. Out of phase. The exact sequence doesn't matter as much to me. Now I have soldered before, and totally understand how to do a 'normal' jazz, but the switch is a bit of a leap in difficulty.

Any help you guys could lend would be appreciated.

Some of positions could be impossible with that switch, its hard to tell how to wire exactly that switch, you'd better take a multimeter, and make write a "map" on a paper which will show to you what outputs interconnects.

Hi.

From the pic it looks like that's 2 disc cake with 2*5 connections.

Unfortunately I don't have time at the moment to draw a schematic and without a detailed schematic of the switch itself it wouldn't be feasible anyway, but I'd say all the combinations You described are possible.

Draw up a map (or a matrix) like Ach said and then it's just straight forward planning.

Regards
Sam
