Exploring alternate tuning on bass
So can anyone comment on tuning your G string down to F#
on a 5 string bass?
it would be like the G to B major third on a guitar
I can play all 5 strings bar chords with this and obviously it would not be in the real low frets as it gets somewhat muddy

Strings would have to be pretty close together to play barre chords on a 5ver using all 5 string. Pretty easy to try though, it’s only a half step off so you can probably just tune and try with no other adjustments.
