5 String Bass tuning B E A D F#

Exploring alternate tuning on bass
So can anyone comment on tuning your G string down to F#
on a 5 string bass?
it would be like the G to B major third on a guitar
I can play all 5 strings bar chords with this and obviously it would not be in the real low frets as it gets somewhat muddy
