5 string for leftys?

Hi guys ive been playing bass left handed for a few years now, and I'm looking for a 5 string on a tight budget. Ive thought about getting a right handed one and converting it to left, would that work. Are there any inexpensive lefty 5 strings?

I just saw this.

A flick through the Thomann catalogue shows five-string LHers starting at £133 new. A Ibanez Sound Gear fiver is around £330, maybe £250 used. Even an equivalent Sterling is only £350.

Im quoting £, but those numbers will work for $ too as everything is cheaper in the USA... How tight is tight?

Plenty of good options for lefties on a budget these days. I agree Ibanez is a good option. ESP is another one. Don't bother with righties - they are almost never comfortable when flipped.

Thanks for the reply. I have decided that i am going to get the PB50 from Thomann and tune it to BEAD, and add a hipshot bass extender on my Jazz Bass.
