I am the lucky guy who won the Morfino bass. Darron went out of his way to make sure that the preamp was set up to my specifications and of great assistance in presenting options and discussing the pluses and minuses of each option. Because of this extra work and the plek job supplied by Vince and crew at Crossroads guitar, I just got the bass yesterday and have not had much time to play with it yet. But I did want to post publicly about all the extra effort that Darron Morfino put into making this bass special and also bringing the bass out to me. This shows that he is a first rate class act as well as an excellent luthier. I also have to admit to being new to using a plek'ed instrument but I can say that this bass is exceptional and I believe that Vince and the group at Crossroads guitar also deserve public praise for their excellent work. So if anyone is looking into purchasing a Morfino bass or availing themselves of the Plek process at Crossroads guitars, I would like to say that I expect you will be very glad with such a decision. These are certainly people who deserve the support of the bass community as evidenced by their principles and excellent work.
