The have IMHO a perfect balance of fullness and bite. Great definition and clear tone. Not honky, not thin and not all dark or muddy. That's a pretty tough achievement I think, and considering they have that quality of sound without a preamp, AND are nice and loud means (IMHO again) I can have it all without fooling around with batteries, without having excessive knobs that make a chore out of finding just the right sound. They're just magically good! The beefy looks sure don't hurt anything either..Okay, so someone either tell me WHY Dark Stars are so desirable, OR point me to a link you found in a search whilst ridiculing my inability or unwillingness to do it on my own...![]()
