I had an Ibanez BTB 5 that was thin front to back but good nut width and a flat fingerboard. I have a Carvin LB 5 now with the same slender neck but not as wide.
I'll second the Ibanez BTB recommendation. If you can find one of the older Japanese 505 models especially, those neck are wide enough for good spacing, but thinner front to back and super comfortable to play on. I had a Soundgear 5 stringer for awhile and didn't like it at all. String spacing was too tight.
