Double Bass 5-String Replacement Fingerboard

I'm looking to upgrade the fingerboard on my 5-string Bulgarian made "Kremona" bass, which came from Gollihur's shop back in 2006. I'm having trouble finding one, if anyone has some suggestions on where to source one. It's a great bass, but the fingerboard sustained some damage and an over-relief from the previous owner.

I've tried contacting Upton, International Violin, Lisa Gass at LA Bass Works, and Mark Gollihur, all with no luck so far.

Are you doing the work yourself? Let your luthier source it. Most people wont sell to non luthiers. You may need a new bridge made too

The Gollihur fingerboard I bought from them a couple years ago for $200 is plenty big for a five string. At least, that’s to say it’s the same size as my Shen 5’rs board. Don’t know if they’re sourcing from the same place these days though

An alternative: Arcotech CarboCore Upright Bass Fingerboards

Interesting about the Arcotech fingerboards. Obvious question - has anyone here tried them?

I purchased one for a five=string conversion that never got off the ground. I sold it to someone here on TB, but can't remember. My luthier thought iit was a perfectly acceptable alternative.
