5 String Singlecut with Drawing

So, I made a thread here a while ago about an idea I had for a 5 string fretted singlecut. Well, I finally got some time, and a scanner, so I'd like to hear what everyone thinks of my design idea.

Firstly, this IS too scale. Drawn on (I think) 6mm graph paper. The nut is the baseline, the line through the neck is the 12th fret and the line through the bridge placeholder is 34". The bridge and bridge pickup can move, as well as the neck PU.

For the specs:
34" scale 5 string 24 fret neck-through singlecut (BEADG)
Swamp ash body wings
Wenge neck & fingerboard
Hipshot hardware (tuners and bridge)
J/MM Nordstrand pickups
Passive VVT, series-parallel, pickup selector

I'm suprised you aren't going to add a top or something onto this bass, don't you know, table tops are the way to go (no rhyme intended).

I like the drawing on the paper better, the lower bout was more defined and had more shape, the bigger one needs to have the same shape as that one, if not a bigger more defined bout.

I would take the lower cut away, and see how deep you have it, I would make that a carved area, and then have the actual cutaway end at where you have the 24th fret, it would just look better IMO, but that is just IMO, this is your bass, and you have to let your bass be your bass, for better or worse.

I'll take the treble side of the original sketch, with the bass side of either the original sketch or the scale drawing. As is, the scale drawing lacks visual balance, has a cutaway that's too small to be useful, and has insufficient room for a control cavity.

Nice drawing, but with the headstock and upper/lower bouts, and the shape of the cutaway, it looks very suspiciously like a LeCompte bass!

As it turns out, it looks almost identical to the SS SC model!

Thanks for the input. The more I look at it, the more I agree about the treble side bout. I guess there really isn't enough space for the control cavity. I'll give it an edit later, see what comes out of that.
