5 string tabs

Hi.

After vigorous searching, i've come to the conclusion that finding tabs for 5 string basses is nigh impossible. Even songs/bands that i know for a fact has a bassist with a 5 string, gets "converted into 4 string".

So my question is as follows: is there any awesome internet pages that i (and to some extent google) dont know about, dedicated to 5 string tabs?

Without trying to sound like a snugglemuffin, why dont you use your ears rather than tabs that are mostly wrong or scored by people who have no idea about fingerings?
And if you really want to use tabs, just learn the notes on the B string and transpose what needs to be lower...

I would, but i've only played bass for 4 months. Then the airline broke my bass when i flew back home from a "gig", so i have to buy a new one. gonna buy a 5 string, but im not good enough to hear the notes yet XD

Buy the 5-string. Learn to use your ears. Stop relying on tabs.
(Majority of tabs are wrong anyhow and produced by people who also rely on tabs)

There are very few (if any) 5 string tabs. There don't seem to be tabs for songs I want to learn anyway. When I can find the tab, they are usually wrong or horrendously over-simplified and lacking any correspondence whatsoever to the actual bass line in the song. I mean, not even close. Quite often, they are the only version out there, just distributed to all the different tab sites.

I take lessons and had to make my own 5 string tab blanks as the instructor had only 4 and 6 string tab blanks....

Its just practice, might take you hours to learn a song by ear now, but the more you do it the easier it gets...

Take a crack at figuring out a song by ear. Then check the tabs to see if you got it right (trust your ears more than the tab, but you may play the tabbed notes and noticed, by listening, that you were off)

And most tabs that I have found seem close and some are spot on, but I don't use them very much.
