500 watt combo watt

Looking for suggestions on a decent combo amp with some effects built in. Preferably 500 watts or around that. Something that has some power, can keep up with a full band and is good to gig with or just practice around the house. Price isn't a big factor.

I have a TC Electronics BG250 combo which has the Tone Print option (which stopped working) and isn't anywhere near enough for a loud rock band.

If I was going for a combo it would definitely be the GK + a pedal board.

Keep in mind few combos over ~200 watts will run full power stand-alone.

Keep in mind also that driver sensitivity and number of drivers makes a more noticeable difference in loudness than "more watts" does.

The proposed "500" watt combo you are looking for is likely closer to 250-300 or so by itself.

That's the beauty of the GK212. Full 500w into 212 with no extension cab needed.

Definitely this if you're looking for included effects, as this has a whole mess of them and different amp emulations. All digital of course, but the one I messed around with seemed to sound pretty good and pretty wide range of options. Since I prefer one or two sounds and suffer from options paralysis otherwise I passed on it but decent value considering the wattage, 2 speakers, and versatility.

EDIT: Haha, just read OP's reply about what was purchased. Glad I could influence the choice.

There is simply nothing to compare with the MarkBass CMD 121P. 14" cube, 32 lbs., 350/500W, scary loud with a great sound. I can play ANY indoor gig with this amp and out doors with an extension speakers. The one piece of gear I would never change. I hear that some of the new ones do not have the B&C driver - that is worth checking out before purchase. The Custom B&C is one secret to the sound.

Best out there as far as I'm concerned. No effects which is in OP's ask but best of the combos that I have come across.

My MB 212 sounds ok but does not have an effects loop which I find annoying (would prefer to bypass the preamp sometimes).
