IMO anything that has a pickup that is not the single coil 50's pickup is not a reissue. For instance the Skyline bass. That has a standard P pickup in the standard spot so it's really just a 44-64 with a different pickup. If you want a reissue I think the big ones are the MIJ reissues and the Squier version.

On a budget I think the Classic Vibe is a good bass. I have a couople P basses, standard bodies, but I do like the 51 look and the Mike Dirnt looks to be a well liked bass. Costs 3 times as much as a Squire but it's a cool looking bass.

My 2010 50s vibe Butterscotch Squier and my 2016 50s vibe White Blonde Squier. Both "crafted" in china LoL.
These things are so much fun. I have 3 perfectly good MIA Fender basses but I'm Taking them both to play at our next show Saturday near Austin. Normally I don't take a backup however it's a Squier after all.
