51 p options under $500 bucks

If your patient and keep looking, you should be able to find a MIJ 51 Reissue for $500.00 I got this one at a local GC for that amount.

I had to keep checking around for a few months.

Yep, that was my bass. It sold within 24 hours of posting. It's one of those situations where you wonder if you could of asked for a little more lol.

I highly suggest waiting for a Fender to pop up if you can. They are really fun basses that sound good and play great. IMHO, they're definitely worth the $500+ price tags that they often carry.

I agree. I really liked mine and wish I still had it.

In addition to natural, black and burst, I've also seen them in ivory, cherryburst and banana-pudding yellow.

To be fair, if you look at actual 50's P-basses, the butterscotch finish on those is very yellow. So, that would be a fairly authentic finish on the CV.
Regardless, if that color doesn't appeal to you, it doesn't appeal to you.

Your right i guess i would just like one with a more natural finish Not butterscotch.

But after looking at prices on warmouth to build one that can get pricey real fast. That is if you have them finish it for you.

I guess i should just suck it up and go with the classic vibe. There isnt really anyone else making one i like. And building one doesnt look like it will happen i could get the classic vibe for about what the neck would cost on warmouth.

Unless anyone knows where else to get parts other than warmoth. Or will link me info on how to finsh a body and neck! All i would know how to do is stain it and i dont think that is right!
