'54 P bass build. Need bridge advice.

I'm going to be trying to do a Warmoth '54 P build, but I'm not looking for it to be vintage looking or vintage correct. It's going to have a flame roasted maple neck with an ebony fingerboard, and an alder '54 body with the contours but with a quilted maple top. I also want this to have all black hardware. I want to make sure I can get the action pretty low, so from the research I've been doing, a high mass bridge seems out of the question. Does that mean all Hipshot bridges are out of the question? Is there a bridge that you'd recommend?
I'm trying to do all the research I can, but not a lot seems to be coming up in this department.

I'll check that out! Yeah I'm trying to avoid the two saddle bridge.

I didn't know about that bridge. Yes, the brass saddles do evoke more of the vintage vibe on a black bridge.

Low action and high mass/hipshot bridges are not mutually exclusive. If you assemble the bass and find that you can't get the action low enough, help is just a shim away. Choose the bridge you really want and make it work, there's no need to limit your selection.
