5w head + what cab for nice lows ?

ok taking all this into consideration will 150W Peavey Max combo be enough if sound wise will suits me? Or should I buy 2x10 cab now and strong bass head later? Mobility is not an issue here.

Try out that Peavey Max 150. It has an FX loop as well as an extension speaker out. If you like your Hotone's tone, you could use your Thunder Bass FX Send to the Peavey's FX Return as an alternative to the Peavey's preamp. FX loops are also great if you decide to use any effects pedals. The Peavey Max also has a built-in tuner which is very convenient.

I have a Peavey Max 100 that I use as a practice/living room amp. I like it a lot.

Hey all! Greetings to all bass/guitar players! I'm new here but was reading forum from time to time. Have a question about bass cab for my Hotone Thunder 5w bass head. Until now I was playing through my 40w 1x10 guitar Engl cab in low volume but it's time to get a real bass cab and there is my question - will this head run 200w cab ? Will the volume be significantly louder and bass deeper ? I love the sound of this small head so would like to keep it and match it with 2x8 or 1x10 cab like the TC electronic or Warwick. I will appreciate any helping comments. Thanks
If you can find a used Euphonic Audio VL-108 0r a VL-110 or a CXL10 you will be really surprised they were the original small Lightweight bass cab and are great

I use my Hotone as a preamp into a DIY 20W class D . Normally into a PJB C2 but when plugged into my homemade 1x12 4ohm cab , the difference is astounding . It is built using a celestion speaker with a rating of 98dB . I'll try it without the power amp at the weekend and see what it sounds like .
Do you run the Hotone to your class d via the speaker out, or the 1/8” direct out? I get an awful squealing sound, kinda like a jetsons car, in the background whenever I run out through the 1/8”. Just wondering if that’s normal and if there’s a way around it.

Have you tried running the Hotone's FX Send to your Class D amp? If your Class D has an FX Return, that's what I'd recommend as well. Otherwise, run the Hotone FX send to the Class D's Input, but start out with the Class D's Gain very low (an FX send is normally a much hotter signal than an instrument's).

Right now I am running it from speaker output to 8 ohm guitar cab and i am getting a nice bass sound just not too deep or laud. Line output I tried on headphones, its ok but nothing special. No squealing sounds noticed ;)

I come back from shop. Tried Rumble 25 - not impressed at all - probably shop is just too laud from people and too big to fill it with sound of it. Peavey 150 not is store to try it, need to be ordered from main warehouse. No BASS cabs in store at all :( Couldnt try my mini head on anything... back to where I was :/
