I have recently fallen in love with playing the 6 string. I bought one of the discounted Peavey 6 strings from Musiciansfriend and noticed I had a problem playing the G and C strings...

I couldn't figure out if those two strings needed to be raised, if it was just a playing issue or if all the strings needed to be raised, some lowered....who knows...

Does this sound like a familar problem that says the bass needs slight adjusting or does it sound like I just need to practice playing it more???

To me, it felt like it was a heigth problem...I didn't recall having this problem playing while sitting..

    Thanks for any help

If it doesn't feel right, it needs to be adjusted. Take it in to be set-up. Explain to the person what YOU like. If you like low strings, go for low string. I personally like them as low as possible without buzz.

It's all you bro, it's all you.
