34 or 35 scale?

I've got both and I couldn't tell you which was which in a blindfold test. . . and 19mm or 18mm, no less than that.

Pete Skjold built me a wonderful 34" 6 string, love it-the B is righteous, the C great, not too thin. The nice thing about it being 34" is that is Fender scale, so going back and forth to Fenders, my hands are used to the scale. I had a 35" and that I played for a long while, and I personally did notice the difference that the inch made, at least in the first 5 frets.

I have very few people wanting 19-6 strings. Most want 18 or 17mm.

I agree. But some people prefer 19mm for slapping. But I think you can easily slap on 16 or 17mm basses too. Smaller string spacing makes jumping and skipping strings more easy and also playing chords. At least for me.
