I'll probably get to see Steve in two weeks. I'm going to a jazz workshop at the school where he teaches, he always stops by at least for a day or two. If he brings the Fender, I'll be sure to get all the details.

I got a chance to mess around on a Fender Custom Shop 6 string similiar to the one owned by the bassist of Animal Ant Farm. I was at the 2003 Summer NAMM. I wasn't all that impressed. The bass felt okay but was sort of bulky. Definitly not worth the $8500.00 dollar price tag IMO.
I have been contemplating one of these. Its not a Fender, probably better.

Yep, like I said; I'll take a Low End Jazz 6 over the Fender..I got a chance to mess around on a Fender Custom Shop 6 string similiar to the one owned by the bassist of Animal Ant Farm. what would you like to know![]()

Played a used one at a Music Store in Barcelona, Spain. It was very kewl. Reminded me of a Lakland. I wanted to buy it, but my wife would have killed me since we were on holiday and didnt want to haul back to cruise ship and plane etc. Maybe next time!!WOW....now that is hot. Have you played on before? Is this a reputable brand? I am going to be in Europe in a few weeks and I may need to pick one up!
