6 string fender jazz

I was wondering if that really was a Fender Jazz I saw him play in a video off of YouTube... at the time I thought a unlined fretless six-string Fender Jazz didn't exist, but I suppose it does. Does Fender even produce unlined fretless Jazzes? I know the Tony Franklin Precision is unlined, but I've never seen an unlined Jazz. Just curious... I've also heard the rumors about a six-string Fender.

not quite Jazz basses, but the custom shop made some like this..

Cheap and has a fender-ish vibe. I love mine, low action, sounds very good, considering the price. Heck, it sounds good for any price.

Give it a try while you're waiting for Fender...

It cost about the same as three sets of good strings, If ya' don't like 'er, send 'er back.

There were at least two separate threads a few days ago on this; word was 'leaked' that Fender would indeed do a production version of Steve Bailey's custom shop six. Search, children...
BTW, there's some youtube vids clearly showing Steve's Fender. Sadly(IMO)it looks nearly identical to his old Aria sig model- a nice bass but far short of some of the stuff I've seen come from the Fender CS.

The body shapes remind me of the Guild/DeArmond [FMIC brands] Pilot 6s.

I remember there being a production Pilot 6 within the last 10 years. I believe that is the closest thing to Fender having put out a production 6 though.
