6 String Guitar Scale Classical Bass

It’s a beauty for sure! So is it EADGBe - same as a regular guitar, but all down an octave?
If so how do the chords sound? I can see it would be easier to strum chords due to string spacing, but do you have to limit yourself to chords high on the neck or avoid the E and A string?
Good questions.
I'm not playing it with strumming. I think that will be too muddy.
I'm teaching myself to play it fingerstyle guitar, in addition to getting used to the spacing and playing it as a bass.

I want to publish the gauges. This came from Haphasard in another thread. They are supposed to be:
.039p* - .031w - .039w - .046 - .057 - .076

That high E comes as a bionylon string. I have since replaced it with a La Bella silver plated wound string from StringsByMail.

We started with a 27 which went on fine, but to match to the other tensions, I will probably try a 24 next.

StringsByMail - highly recommended. They have deep stock, they ship quickly, and they are always eager to help.
