You need to clean up that cavity cover man. Looks awesome though.

thanks its my first complete build. and Im planning on making a new one in the future since i didn't think about putting an aluminum backing on the redwood so when I started to put the screws in it cracked in a few places.

As far as I can tell from the pic, the problem isn't the cover, it's the routed pocket that it fits into.

yea. im already planning the fretted.

my first bass was a parts bass,then i made a body and used a graphite neck, and this is my 3rd and first complete.

so far im loving the tone and feel of the ash neck but it just dosnt compare to a graphite neck with graphite fingerboard

Completely. This bass has just the right amount of money mwahh with a vintage jazz type sound. My teacher has a Zon fretless hyper bass from the 90's that has a full graphite neck which is a tone that I would most like from a fretless with this in a close second.

Ash neck s good on fretted basses , MTD uses on some of his basses . Would like to try , I mean to have one .

I wonder how it sounds on a fretless . It might be interesting to try .
