62 Walnut says hello!

Hi all,

After lurking a little while, I said I'd register and join in the fun. I'm a bass beginner, but that only means that I've got so much new stuff to discover.

My name is from the bass I want to get, which is a Fender Japan 62 Walnut, which is just absolutely drop dead gorgeous! Well to me anyway!

Looking forward to finding out lots more about my new found interest in bass.

Talk soon

Profile completed - TWICE!

I had everything done, and clicked return, only to find that I'd entered my year of birth incorrectly, so everything else was lost! I only entered the year, without the 19 in front of it!

So I decided to leave that blank second time around.

So now you know a little bit more about me. On second thoughts, now that I've looked at what others have in their profile, mine seems far too verbose and rambling. Should I leave it, or cull it and tidy it up to the bare mimimum. Just the names of the gear on the GAS list, to be precise.

I got a signature too! Anybody recognise the line?

Don't recall the line, but it works! As far as your GAS list, I like it! I'm a big fan of walnut on just about anything. Glad you picked up the SX, they're the biggest bang-for-the-buck deal out there, if you ask me! I have an SX, a fiver, J-config, and it's a reliable backup. Strings spacing on the SX 5s are a little narrow, but even though I put a different bridge on it to spread things out a little, it's not the most comfortable to slap on. But it's deadly on rock and blues, or old soul/R&B. For something to learn on for minimal shekels...get the PJ SX.
