When I looked at the picture, I thought the action was high due to there being no route under that bridge. It could have the dreaded ski jump though. My '68 P-Bass does, but a careful fret dressing compensated for it just fine.
I'm glad that that all that money is chasing basses that, while kinda cool in a way, don't really do it for me. That way, that money isn't chasing basses that I would find useful, so....those ones are reasonably priced.
I don't get it.
I can think of 3 top notch basses that I could get, all at once, with $6000 CAD.

No. For that much money I'd buy pretty much anything else available first
1963 Jazz basses with their original finishes (which this has) are currently listed at 8-10k US on the typical vintage dealer sites.
This one is only missing a few bolt on parts that can be bought for $600-800, and the bass at US price is $4615 (6k Canadian). It definitely looks good to me!

Yep. I've seen the same (including on a couple otherwise original custom color Fenders) and it's the Badass I bridges like this. It may be sitting high enough that it wasn't - hard to tell from the photos but I'd confirm for sure before buying (if I was which I'm not...)

I would take that 6 grand and put a down payment on a 2017 GMC Sierra 4x4...
What do the new screw holes do to the value? That Badass bridge and the Schaller tuners will have different hole pattern than the originals.

Yep, if it's a 63 it is ... and it looks like it is.
Even with some replaced hardware, the main instrument and case is 53+ years soo...
