700RB-II Help!!!

ok so in my case i can use the horn on the fender cab with the GK in ''fullrange mode'' (because it cant be biamped with the fender) but i need to keep the tweeter all the way left or off

So i guess ive come to the conclusion that i blew a speaker due to my eq settings

No prob at all using the horn on the cab you like. You'll just be using the GK in a full range mode. No biggie. Make sure to buy a speakon cable...way worth the money....if you are using a non GK cab and using the head in the full range mode, you can use a 2 pin speakon. But, I would suggest buying a 4 pin, just in case you buy a GK cab someday.

does using a speakon cable instead of a regular speaker cable make a big difference in tone? i dont think the fender rumble cab has speakon inputs but i guess i could buy a speakon with a 1/4 jack on the other end if it is better than what im using now

Speakon is better but not absolutely needed until you get into big power. Eq wise, lose the 'contour' , bring up the mids and don't boost Bass so much. These things make your notes hard to hear, which encouraged you to turn up too loud, then, 'poof.'

It wont matter where the tweeter knob is, it wont do anything unless the right cab is hooked up with the right cable.

Speakon cables wont make any difference at all in tone. They are just a better more secure connection. They twist in an lock in place.

The amp you have is very popular and there are alot of people here experienced with it. You did very well in choosing that head.
