I'm sorry, I'm not really a bass player and I've got kind of a dumb question. Can someone help me, please?
My question is how does one get the pickup wires from the rear pickup cavity into the control cavity in a late 70's Jazz Bass body? There's no "thru" hole for that to happen.
Here's some more info or details. I bought a really beat up, stripped, late 70's Fender Jazz Bass body and had RS Guitarworks refinish it. They did a great job. Now, I'm putting it all together with a late 70's JB neck and electronics. But the rear pickup's hole for the pickup wires is drilled only halfway to the control cavity. It goes halfway and stops. I looked in the control cavity and, yep, there's only one entrance hole and that's for the neck pickup wires! I don't understand.
I dunno, is there a right angle or connecting passage in the body where the rear pickup's wires go over to the passage for the neck pickups and then all four wires enter the control cavity from that one source or hole?
