7ender?

Is there a reason some represent “Fender” like that? Is it meant as a light-hearted logo slight of some kind or something less callous? I hereby freely offer up ownership of both Gibsun and Rickenbarker in advance if I may, I love all three iconic brands but figure that I am too old to be a trend setter.

Back in the day when people wrote cursive, capital Fs were backwards like that. Simplifying and styling a cursive F gets you pretty much 7.

I do not miss having to write in cursive for school papers. I was horrible at it, and slow. And the product was illegible. Lose lose lose.

While cursive was a beautiful, font if you have the drawing talent of an artist, Those that didn’t, had to spend hours days tracing over those damn workbooks for hours on end to no avail. God bless my teachers that probably spent as many hours trying to decipher what I wrote..LOL!

Not possible unless they own the "[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]" trademark (link goes to the USPTO's trademark search engine which tells you nobody has claimed "7ender"). Even attempting it is going to make them look bad since I suspect most people who write it that way are not doing it out of dislike for the company or its products.

Exactly. Fender themselves basically use a 7 for the F.

The best one I ever saw was a friend had a 'parts Strat', exceptional, first time I ever saw stacked Strat pickups, sounded and looked great. Had someone make him a decal for the head that from across the room looked like factory.

Walk up close enough to really read it, and in perfect black and gold spaghetti it said 'F***er'.

I was being facetious. I thought that I had heard somewhere that anyone can sue anyone else for any reason; however, a quick search reveals that is not the case (so to speak).
