Double Bass 80's Engelhardt Refinish Job

That refinished bass looks an awefully lot like mine! I bought mine used in july 2008 from my drummer's older brother. The label inside reads "Engelhardt s-1 29851". Doing a bit of research I found that it was in fact made in 1982 going off the serial # list posted on this forum. So my question really is this- How do I know the value of the bass itself? I mean, I know how much I value IT, but I am wondering what the original retail value in 1982 was and what the value would be today.
