"80s" pedal

I'm playing with an 80s band, and I need to get the standard bass synth sound - think 99 Red Balloons and such. What is a decent cheap pedal to get that tone?

The MS-60B or Zoom B3 would be excellent options.

If (if!!!) you wanted to go with separate pedals, the ol' octave/filter/fuzz setup would be a good option. There are lots of choices and combinations...
