8x15 Can't Wait

Beautiful! I can't wait to see this monster.. Also, what are you going to push that with? Besides the cargo loader you will need to cart it along, what are you thinking for power and such?? Oh, HUGE would be a name that would come to mind. Gigantor? Ginormas? Tiny?? hehehe

A "doom" band used to rehearse next to our room in our studio space. The room they used was roughly 16x14 with 10' ceilings. Their guitarists each used 100w tube heads. The bass player thought he needed to use two 412s and two 215s, biamped to "cut through and get good tone". We asked him several times to turn it down because it disrupted our room as well as several other in that wing of the building. The building is dedicated rehearsal/studio space so hearing a little bit of another band is normal, but this idiot was literally vibrating some of our mic cables of the hanging hooks on the wall. FYI- the walls were framed offset one another, sound baffling insulation, resilient channel on the studs, topped with 3 layers of 5/8ths drywall with green glue and a layer of foam on top of the drywall for better acoustics. A typical PA system at gig levels in the room next to you would barely yield a whisper through those walls. Not for this idiot.

While building big stuff is in our nature just to do it, its the only real practical reason to do it- just to do it. So if your time and money is worth it, go for it. post some pics.

A smart man would build it like a 4 sided / faced cab, with each face getting two speakers, vertically, and have it resemble the Tardis.

And with this configuration, it could be a front main, a side fill, another side fill, and a backstage fill. And, when pushed to eleven, it would rip open a hole in space-time, and bring back dead Presidents and Bill and Ted.

A cab that looks like a TARDIS... Brilliant!

not a amp but i made this for my friend
