Well you've been playing the 9 string longer than I've been playing bass in general. In fact you've been playing bass longer than I've been alive. I can only hope that in 14 more years I'll be able to play that.

bryan - my name is regional.... in france, parts of canada, new orleans, etc. it's "zzhjaun bow-daaa" - americans have a hard time with the french pronunciation and think it's "John", so I've used the american pronuciation "gene" since I was a kid. Ironically, my last name in english for some reason is pronounced "bow-dean" - I have no idea why. Makes it easy to remember, no? I'd love to go back to the french way (it's actually Jean-Andre) and I've tried a few times, but it's too much of a hassle to explain all the time.
