90s Squier Musicman Bass Repair Help

i got a sweet little bass for a killer price. Everything is in pretty good condition except the neck. At the bottle of the fretboard it's starting to peel up. Anyone have any suggestions on the best way to repair this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd say wood glue/clamp but that looks water damaged so who knows how serviceable the neck actually is.

Might want to post this in the luthier forum, most likely get some good advice over there.

Seriously though, I'd look for a short scale replacement neck.
