'94 Peavey Fury - Recommended?

These are nice basses period. Meat and potatos P bass tone Jazz neck, I had one for a while and it was killer, nicer than any Fender I own. For 200 bucks you can't beat it. Not that I know everything but I have been playing 35 years and have at anyone time 30-40 basses, most vintage 60's ad 70's . Hope you get it and enjoy !

So, did you ever get the tone control fixed?

No. I don't know that it's broken, just doesn't do much. I bought this bass as a backup so I can't be bothered to work on it.

is it only the 80's ones that were made with the single angled ferrite pup, and later in the 90's switched to p-bass style ones?

Yes, just the early Fury's (80's) came with the slanted ferrite. Not sure what year the change happened, maybe someone else knows and will chime in.

Meanwhile, I never pass up a chance to shamelessly show off my minty one....

Yes... you have to be careful..

The ferrite lineage was T20... morphed into Fury.... morphed into Patriot

I always remind folks of the fury and patriot when they don't like the weight and neck dimensions of the t20
