Ok so i have a MXR M-109 6 Band equaliser, through an ashdown after 8 practice amp. But i only have a 12v adapter, it says "The 6 band eq will operate on a 9volt AC adapter" but can i use a 12v one?

9v AC Adapter, can i use a 12v?

I wouldn't. I believe you'd be feeding more power into the pedal than intended and you could fry it. I just read about someone blowing up their EBS MultiComp by accidentally using an 18v into the pedal which was only a 9v.
Nope. Won't work. Will damage the equaliser if you try.
But I believe it can be powered up with a 9v battery.
It could fry the pedal. Go buy a proper voltage one for it if you not going to use reg 9 volt battery option.
