A 5-string P+MM... does it exist?

There are plenty of P+J fives out there, but does anybody make a P+MM, or would I have to go custom/route-out for that?

I'd prefer a 5-string with 19mm spacing and a wide/thin neck, if such a bass exists.

Anybody know of something like this? I'm sure Nino et al could do it... I'd love something like a Pedulla Rapture 5, but P+MM instead of a J in the bridge, or a similar feel (MTD, etc).

Yeah, they are either fairly new or just very rare here in the US(I think they are a German brand). Their stuff looks killer though.

I was just reading online, apparently they are pretty nice, just rare in the US. Guitar Center UK has several of them, but there are only 3 US dealers total (LowDownSound in Chicago has two Sandbergs on eBay right now).

They're about $1750~ US. I'd love to try one. Gotta get my butt up to Chicago... hmm... that's exactly what I'm looking for. And they even come in relic finishes!

FYI, Low Down Sound is just outside Detroit. Great guys to deal with too. I've played a few Sandbergs there and they seem to be pretty good basses, though the 5 strings necks were a little fatter than I like. I've have fairly small hands though.

Sorry, meant Detroit, not Chicago. Fat necks, huh? Maybe I will keep looking... I'm a big fan of thin, wide, flat, asymmetrical necks, a la MTD, Warrior, etc. I had a custom neck built for one of my Variaxes with a 2.125" nut (5-string) and a flat fretboard, with an asymmetrical profile that is even thinner on the treble side than an MTD, and that's pretty much my ideal neck.

You can pretty much pick and choose as you want as long as you're prepared to wait. I had three months delivery time on mine (Bass Centre UK seems to have 6-8 weeks, however).

I'd like the Clover, but with a maple fingerboard. The Sandberg has that P style thing going on, but the Clover body and pickguard are based off a J bass, which I think is a lot sexier.

I dig the bass, but I hate where they put the input jack.

If memory serves, Chi Cheng from the Deftones has a P/double J config'd Fender. That's the closest I've seen from the big F. Google can't find a pic of it, but I swear it exists.

the sandberg california is a good an versatile bass. but it is far away from a typical mm-sound. the humbucker is too near to the bridge. it gives a very good j-sound though.

also they have a glockenklang preamp with passiv tone control.
